Now in its eighth year, Run for the Water presented by Keller Williams Realty is the second largest road race in central Texas from May-November. The event is solely produced by and benefits the Gazelle Foundation, an Austin-based non-profit improving the lives of citizens of Burundi, Africa, through the building of water systems. Simply by registering to run, you are providing access to clean water for one Burundian for life.
Participants have the option to run or walk the 10-Mile, 5K, Kids K and Global Run. Our award-winning event has been recognized by numerous publications, including the Austin Chronicle, Austin Fit Magazine, and Austin American-Statesman.
All races start/finish at the First Street Bridge in downtown Austin, Texas. The 10-mile starts at 7:00 AM, 5K at 7:15 AM and Kids K at 9:00 AM. Ample parking is available on the street and in several parking garages, including One Texas Center (505 Barton Springs Rd), Palmer Events Center ($7.00), and the Austin American Statesman on Congress Ave.

ROAD RUNNERS CLUB OF AMERICA:
Road Runners Club of America has selected our event as the Southern Region 10 Mile Championship for 2014. This marks the third consecutive year for the nomination along with serving as the state championship in 2011.
Since 1958, the RRCA has awarded championship events through a competitive bidding process at the National, Regional, and State level to RRCA member clubs and events to promote the sport of distance running. The goal of the RRCA Championship Event Series is to shine a spotlight on well-run events and to award top performing runners in the open, masters (40+), grand masters (50+), and senior grand masters (60+) categories for both men and women.
Without our generous sponsors the Run for the Water would not be possible and our work in Burundi would not be nearly as successful. As a sponsor of the race, you're receiving year-round logo presence on our website. Promotion to past participants begins in June and runs through November, meaning your brand will be front and center for five months reaching thousands of individuals.
