Join us at any giving level and help Bring Clean Safe Water To another community.
This remarkable community has already built three water systems in Burundi so far, and the fourth is about to begin. The AMAZI funded systems are:
2024: Murwindara-Mugano system will serve 1,300 people in the community when it is complete. Construction kicks off on September 1, 2024.
2023: The Extension of Kiriza-Gisisye Water Project was completed February 7, 2024 and provides clean water to 860 people.
2022: The Kabigomogomo system changed the lives of the 850 residents it serves, and the lives of everyone who relies on the Nyazuba health center.
2021: The Nyarumanga-Rubanga system was funded, built, and named for AMAZI For Burundi 2021. It makes a life-changing impact on the 650 students who rely on it, along with another 1,000 community members.
Let’s GIVE MORE CLEAN WATER!
This year’s project is lined up to assist another community in desperate need of clean water. We only need the funds to get more systems underway. We hope you will join our incredible community of givers to make this dream a reality.

Make An Outsized Impact
Dollar for dollar, your contributions to the Gazelle Foundation make an outsized impact to people on the ground.
100% of your donations go directly to funding water systems in Burundi.
Due to our unique structure and on-the-ground partnerships, the cost to build our simple but effective systems is lower than average. Certain governmental regulations make it difficult for international organizations to work in Burundi, making our long-term presence there that much more important.
Clean Water. Clear Futures
Amazi ni Ubuzima - it’s a common phrase spoken in Burundi, meaning “water is life.” It is common because access to clean water is so rare. Clean water is foundational to reversing the cycle of poverty. Access to clean water means access to better health, stronger communities, jobs, education, and most of all: hope.
