The Gazelle Foundation knows that clean water is the key to life. But no one knows it better than the people of Burundi, where water-borne illnesses are the leading cause of death. However, with access to clean water, these diseases are reduced or completely eliminated in the communities where we work.
For mothers like Emmanueline, clean water means seeing her children not just survive, but thrive. It also means her children have a chance to achieve their dreams.
“There were nights I couldn’t give water to my kids because the trip to get it was too far away. So we would collect condensation from surfaces and drink that. ”
