Celebrate World Water Day 2023

World Water Day is the day the United Nations draws the world’s attention to the 2 billion people globally who live without access to clean water. World Water Day has a special meaning this year.

Our co-founder Gilbert Tuhabonye visited Burundi in January 2023, his first trip back in over a decade. And he saw firsthand the impact of your support of the Gazelle Foundation.

Today we acknowledge the struggles, celebrate the lives you've helped, the hope you've given by supporting our work to build clean water systems in Burundi.

And in that vein, we're sharing ways to observe World Water Day, and have a direct impact on bringing clean water, and hope, to many more people in Burundi.

The Gazelle Foundation knows that clean water is the key to life. But no one knows this better than the people of Burundi. For more than 11 million people, access to clean water means access to better health, stronger community, jobs, education, and most of all: hope.

Together, we can transform lives and make it possible for an entire country to break from the grips of poverty and flow freely once again.
