It's Official Gazelle Foundation is back for Austin Marathon Gives Charity Program

The Gazelle Foundation is fortunate to once again participate in Austin Marathon Gives, the philanthropic program of the Ascension Seton Austin Marathon presented by UnderArmour that connects race participants to local non-profit organizations like the Gazelle Foundation. The 2025 Austin Marathon (Half Marathon and 5K) will be held Sunday, February 16, 2025.

Join Team Gazelle Foundation

You can join our Team Gazelle Foundation to run and raise money to help us bring more clean water to rural Burundi where we work. Every step you take and dollar you raise goes toward the cement, rocks, pipes, tools and materials we use to build clean water systems one village at a time. Since 2006, we’ve built 71 water systems, transforming lives and bringing hope to a part of the world that many Central Texans may not even know about.

Eight Years of Impact

We’re thrilled to be a part of this impactful program for the eighth year.

By committing to donate or run with Team Gazelle Foundation you become part of an incredible support team for families in Burundi who need clean water.

Since 2017 Team Gazelle Foundation X Austin Gives Miles have gone the distance!

  • 325 runners

  • $176,00 raised

  • 5,866 people have been given a lifetime of clean water

Gazelle Foundation is one of nearly two dozen Official Charity Partners that participate in the program.

Run With Purpose at the Austin Marathon

If you — or someone you know — is interested in running the Austin Marathon, Half Marathon, or 5K as a Gazelle Foundation official ambassador contact us!

Our partnership with the Austin Marathon and the Austin Marathon Gives program has a clear and direct impact on our ability to provide clean, accessible water to people in Burundi. See how we do it and our impact over the years.

Volunteer at the Austin Marathon

To help us qualify for the grant, volunteers will have an opportunity to give water to thirsty runners along the Austin Marathon race course, which has in turn allowed us to give clean water to people who need it most in Burundi. Stay tuned for volunteer details closer to the date.

It’s just one more reason we have the best supporters in the world (that’s you!).

Burundian villagers collect clean water from a clean water system that is under construction. Even before water systems are complete, people are able to obtain clean water right away. Instead of walking hours to fetch water, water systems are positioned with multiple access points, so water is minutes away.
