Jorge Gives Miles

One of our newest supporters, Jorge Matamoros, is taking part in the Austin Marathon Gives program this year, raising funds by giving miles – and water – to those that need it most in Burundi. Jorge is a first-generation American from El Paso, Texas and is running his first marathon this month. He calls the Gazelle Foundation an “easy choice” to support.

16 Weeks To Impact Lives Forever

16 Weeks To Impact Lives Forever

After just 16 weeks the Gahanda-Rwego Water Project is complete and bringing clean water to 2,750 kids, grandparents, and families.

People using this water system are immediately healthier, because sanitation and hygiene are boosted, and risk of water-borne infectious diseases are reduced. Rather than spending hours collecting water, kids get more time to attend school. And people can work and earn money. The combination of health, income and education begin to reverse a cycle of poverty.

Clean Water For 1,200 People: Update on Kadasha-Kayange Water System

Providing access to clean water is more than quenching thirst. Regular access to clean water saves lives. We thrilled to report that the Kadasha-Kayange water system is 90% complete. Over the next few weeks all holding tanks, pipes, and tap stands will be connected, then final testing will begin. Five tap stands distribute clean water to 1,200 people. This water system is one of three that the Gazelle Foundation is currently working on. The project is on time and on budget, and its impact is already considerable.
